Start at the top. Unplug the machine first.

Check the door switch and lock for debris or anything foreign caught in it.

Check the door lock assembly for damage, and check its wiring connection.

To get the door open: unplug the machine, take off the toe panel, reach up inside the front panel to the bottom of the door latch assembly, find the tear-drop shaped tab, and pull it down about a quarter of an inch until it clicks.
