The 5 free checks
Start at the top. Unplug the machine first.
- 01
Look for foam in the bottom of the tub. If it is there, scoop out as much as you can with a plastic cup.
- 02
Take the dishes out and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the bottom of the tub to knock the suds down.
- 03
Run a full cycle with no detergent and no dishes, then a second full cycle with detergent in the dispenser but still no dishes.
- 04
If there is no foam, check the water level instead — it should just touch the bottom of the overfill float mushroom. Low water lets air into the pump.
- 05
Load bowls and cups so they cannot flip over and hold water during the cycle.
